KINESSO UK&I has doubled down on it's commitment to fostering greater transparency through the digital supply chain by successfully renewing it's Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Gold Standard certification.

The IAB Gold Standard certification is designed for both digital media buyers and sellers, with the aim of enhancing the digital advertising experience, ensuring compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy regulations, and improving transparency within the supply chain to drive wider trust.

The aim of the IAB Gold standard is five-fold:

  • Reduce ad fraud
  • Uphold Brand Safety standards
  • Improve customer experience
  • Help compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy laws
  • Strengthen the supply chain transparency

There have been recent additions to the IAB Gold standard including demonstrating requirements within Security and Fraud, including onboarding checks for financial clients and Buyers.json and DemandChain Object. Buyers.json is a mechanism for advertising systems and other intermediaries between a payor and publisher to publicly declare the buyers that they represent, meanwhile DemandChain Object enables sellers to see all parties who are involved in buying the creative.

These standards help address the challenges around malvertising and nefarious ads by providing transparency around the entities that are involved with publishing these adverts. KINESSO UK&I supports these initiatives and demonstrated its commitment within the robust application process.
